2019 Calendar

Here are the shows we know about so far – we will add more as we hear about them, so if you are organising a show and it’s not listed, please get in touch via the Contact Us page and we’ll add it. If you would like to be put in contact with any of the organisers, let us know.  As we go through the year, I’ll grey out the dates that have passed.

Friday 18th – Sunday 20th January 2019 – London Model Engineering Exhibition
Venue: Alexandra Palace. Model engineer and modelling exhibition. Clubs and Traders. Everything for the model engineers’ workshop. Lego element to the show co-ordinated by The Brickish Association.

Sat 26th January 2019 – the Braw Brick Show
Braw Brick is in Cumbernauld and is a Tartan LUG show, organiser Graeme Wells.  Venue: Condorrat Parish Church, 63 Main Road, Cumbernauld, G67 4DZ. Open 10-4. Admission £3 ages 5+, 4 and under free.

Sunday, 27 January 2019 at 11:00–17:00 – Calder Valley Brick Show 2019
The venue is Mytholmroyd Community & Leisure Centre, Caldene Ave, Mytholmroyd, HX7 5AF. Organiser is Mark Pullen.

16th February 2019 – the Thirsk Brick Show
A Brick Alley event. Venue: Thirsk Town Hall, Thirsk, North Yorkshire. Doors open 10.00 – 16.00.  Tickets on door: £3 adults; £2 kids, in aid of Holyrood House respite care.

Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th February 2019 – Sheffield Brickfest
A Brickish Association event, it’s going to be at High Storrs School, High Storrs Road, Sheffield, S11 7LH. 10.00 – 16.00 both days.

Saturday 23rd – Sunday 24th February 2019 – Reading Brick Show
Venue: Rivermead, Reading RG1 8EQ. Organiser: Mike Grieve of the Brickish Association.

23rd February 2019 – The Brighton Brick Show
Update – now moved to 20th April.  

Saturday 16th March 2019 – Ely Brick Show
Venue: The Countess Free Church, 10 Chapel Street, Ely, Cambs., CB6 1AD. Organiser: Duncan Bridges of the Brickish Association; in aid of Christians Against Poverty. 10am to 4pm, Adults £3, Children £1.

16th and 17th March 2019 – NSC Brickish weekend
Venue: The National Space Centre, Leicester. Organiser: Jon Ladd of the Brickish Association.

Hilton Northampton · Collingtree.  Organised by Neil Burgess, not (as previously reported) a Brick Central show.

6th April 2019 – North Notts Brick Show
A Northern Brickworks show, organised by Nate Dias.
Venue is at Outwood Academy Valley, Worksop, S81 from 10.00-16.00.

Sat 13th – Sun 14th April 2019 – Ware’s the Bricks
Venue: Ware Priory Event & Conference Venue, Ware, Hertfordshire. 11.00 – 17.00. Organiser is Darren Neely.

20th April 2019 – Brighton Bricks
Venue: Brighton Unitarian Church, New Road, Brighton, BN1 1UF.  Organiser: Nick Bright of Brighton Bricks.  Open 11.00 – 16.00, free entry.

Saturday 27th – Sunday 28th April – Scottish National Scale Model Show 2019
A model show with six lego display tables, coordinated by Gavin Clifford of TartanLUG. Venue: the Dewars Centre, Glover Street, Perth, PH2 0TH.

4th May 2019 – Milton Keynes Brick Festival
Venue: Stantonbury Leisure Centre, Stantonbury, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK14 6BN. Open 10.00 – 17.00. Admission £5, Children £3. This is a celebration of all things LEGO, with lots to see and do including a speed building competition, large scale displays, traders selling loose bricks, and a building area. There will be some out of this world displays at the event that you won’t want to miss! We will have an incredible large scale Forest Moon of Endor diorama from Star Wars, a large scale model White House that’s over 6-foot-long, and many other displays! This show is being organised by Showmasters Events – last few tickets remaining!

4th May 2019 – St Philip’s Brick Show
11.00 – 17.00 at St. Philips Church Hall, Hawthorn Crescent, Cosham, Hampshire PO6 2TL. LEGO® displays/models and building activities for all the family. Advance booking entrance £9 family ticket, £9.50 on the door (2 adults and up to 3 children). £3 adult and £2 a child. (Entry to event is via the church hall).

4th-5th May 2019 – The Yorkshire Brick Show
A Stackable Events production, organised by Rich Lawson. Venue – Huddersfield University.

11th May 2019 – Farnham ASSIST Brick Show
Venue: Farnham Rugby Club, Wilkinson Way, Monkton Lane, Farnham, GU9 9ND

11th-12th May 2019 – Lego Trains at Glenrothes
Venue: Lomond Centre, Woodside Way, Glenrothes, Fife KY7 5RA
Open Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm, Sunday 10:30am to 4:30pm. Adults £4, Concessions £3, Child £2, Family (2+2) £11. This is a small friendly model railway show with one Lego train layout.

Saturday 11th – Sunday 12th May 2019 – Discovery Brick Show
Venue: The Discovery Museum, Newcastle upon Tyne. A Brick Alley Show.

18th May 2019 – Edinbrick
Edinbrick is currently scheduled for the 18th of May at the Dome at Potterrow, Edinburgh EH8. Same venue as 2018 only now with working carpark!

June 2nd – Brick Express
10-5 at Avon Valley Railway, Bitton, Bristol. Displays and a building session onboard the train. Organiser – Nick Amos.

15th June 2019 – Alresford model show
10.30- 16.30 at Perins Community School, New Alresford, Hampshire
SO24 9BS. A model train show with displays by members of London AFOLs.

15th-16th June 2019 – Bressingham Brick Show
Venue: Bressingham Steam Museum & Gardens, Diss, Norfolk

15th-16th June 2019 – Awesome Bricks
Open 10am to 5pm Sat & Sun; Venue is National Museum of Flight, East Fortune Airfield, East Lothian, EH39 5LF. A Tartan LUG event.

22nd June 2019 – New Malden Brick Show
A one day event that Rhys Knight is organising for the “Parents In Need” Charity. Contact us for more details or to be put in touch with Rhys.

Jun 23 2019 – Lymm Historic Transport Day
The Day takes over the village of Lymm, set on the Bridgewater Canal and next to the M6/M56 junction. As you’d expect, there are traction engines, canal boats, and a huge display of all sorts of historic cars. And some lego! The lego display is in Maple Lodge, the scout building next to the main car display, and it’s organised by Jim Walshe of Northern Brickworks.

Thursday 27th June 2019 – Adult Fans of Lego meet-up
7pm at the Trafford Centre, Manchester, M17 8AA. We will be in the Orient Food Hall (stage right of the Big Screen near to Namco Funscape). Any AFoL (over 18) is welcome. Come along whether you are a member of a Lego User Group or just curious. Have a drink or something to eat and chat with fellow enthusiasts. Have a bit of fun with a game or challenge (there will be prizes). Organiser is Robert Clarkson of Northern Brickworks.

29th-30th June 2019 – Liberty Bricks
Update – I’ve heard from Dean that this show has been cancelled.

29th – 30th June – Bluebell Model Railway Weekend
Model railway layouts and traders around the railway. Includes displays by members of London AFOLs.

6th – 7th July 2019 – Mowbray Bricks
Organiser: Andy Veltman of Brickshire. Venue is at a school and the show is justly famed for its quiz and its Saturday evening barbecue. Camping available in the grounds for hardy souls.

Saturday 20th July 2019 – Brickmania
Venue: Peterhead Prison Museum, Peterhead. Organiser: Christine Aird of Tartan LUG. This is a unique venue, held inside what used to be the actual Peterhead prison. Remember the set of Porridge? You’re there!

Saturday 3rd August – IPMS Dundee Model Show
TartanLUG will be displaying four tables at this event.

Saturday 10th August – The Big Model & Hobby Show
Venue: Southport Theatre and Convention Centre. Northern Brickworks member Robert Clarkson is organising the Lego component.

10 August 2019 to 11 August 2019 – Cotswold Bricks & Trains
Venue: Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Steam Railway, Toddington Station, Toddington, GL54 5DT. Hosted by the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Steam Railway and organised by the Southern LEGO Train Club. We’re taking over the diesel-loco shed at Toddington station for a weekend of all things LEGO!

Saturday 17th August – Rhyl Building Bricks
A Northern Brickworks event, organised by Floss Barrett. Venue: Sussex Street Christian Centre, 15 Sussex Street, Rhyl, LL18 1SE. Opposite Wetherspoons!

Thursday 22nd August 2019 – Adult Fans of Lego meet-up

24th – 25th August – Egham royal show
Open 10.00-17.30, free parking. A long-running event, taking place in 2019 for its 160th year. Includes displays by members of London AFOLs.

25th August 2019 – Block Con Hull
Update – I’ve heard from Rich that this show has been cancelled.

Saturday 31st August – Aberdeen Model Show 2019
Venue: the Hilton Treetops Hotel, Aberdeen, and TartanLUG will be displaying six tables of MOCs.

14th September 2019 – Glesga Bricks
Venue is Moss Park Baptist Church, Glasgow. Organised by Graeme Wells of Tartan LUG. More details to follow.

21st September – Caterham model show
Venue is the Sacred Heart Centenary Hall, Essendene Road, Caterham, CR3 5PB. It’s a London AFOLs event, and there will be several Lego model displays, as well as Lego activity tables, competitions, and a raffle.

22nd September 2019 – London Brick Festival
Showmasters is bringing the London Brick Festival to the Royal National. This event celebrates all things LEGO and will take place on 22nd September 2019 , with opening hours 10am – 5pm. Early entry is from 10am; £10 per person and Standard Entry is from 11am; Adults £7, Children £5, Family ticket 2 Adults, 2 Children £18. Under 5s gain admission for free (with a paying adult). Where: 38-51 Bedford Way London, England WC1H 0DG.  Update: it appears the venue is now to be Kensington Olympia.

28th – 29th September 2019 – The Big St Albans Model Show
Open 10.00-17.00, Adults £4, Children £1. Venue is Townsend Church of England School, High Oaks, St Albans, AL3 6DR. This year’s theme is ‘models that move’ and it includes displays by members of London AFOLs.

Sunday 29th September 2019 – the Halifax Family Brick Show
Venue: the Threeways Centre, a large sports hall on the outskirts of Halifax in West Yorkshire. Starts 11.00, organiser is Mark Pullen.

5th-6th October 2019 – The Great Western Brick Show
Venue: STEAM – Museum of the Great Western Railway, Firefly Avenue, Swindon, SN2 2EY. A Brickish Association show.

Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th October 2019 – Dundee Model Railway Show
10am to 4:30pm at Boomerang Community Centre, 10 Kemback Street, Dundee DD4 6ET – Adults £5, Children £3.50. A small & friendly Model Railway Show. Including David Graham’s LEGO trains which the children can operate. More info at: http://www.dundeemrc.co.uk/dmrc_2018_004.htm

19th October 2019 – Brick Lincs
A Brickshire show, held at Christ’s Hospital School, Lincoln.

19th October 2019 – Brick o’ Deen
A TartanLUG show, to be held at Queens’ Cross Church, Aberdeen. Open to the public from 10.00 – 16.00. Proceeds to Instant Neighbour and the Aberdeen Cyrenians. Organiser is Alison Clayton of TL.

2nd-3rd November – Monkeybricks
Venue: Heywood Civic Centre, Heywood. 10.00 start. Organiser – Stephen Scrivens of Northern Brickworks.

Venue: Stantonbury Leisure Centre. Due to the sell out of our first event, Novembers show will be even BIGGER! There will be EVEN MORE LEGO displays, Kids Activities and traders selling everything from loose bricks to that elusive LEGO set!

16th November 2019 – the Great Grimsby Brick Show
Open 10-4 at the West Marsh Community Cente, Beeston Street, Grimsby, DN31 2QH. Lego builders from all over the UK will be there. Admission £2 adults, under 12’s 50p. A Northern Brickworks event.

16-17th November 2019 – Shildon Brick Show
Venue is the Locomotion Museum, Shildon, County Durham. LEGO displays and traders. Free entry and free parking; paid activities and stalls available. A Brick Alley show.

16th-17th November – The Bristol Brick Show
Organiser Nick Amos. 10-5 both days. Venue is Action Indoor Sports, Whitchurch, Bristol.
